Brother of W.B. Yeats, this exhibition i thought might’ve had some interesting images of the circus in it. Unfortunately he’s not a very good painter in my opinion and this one from the gallery programme is about as good as it got, still Compton Verney has a decent permanent collection of paintings,Chinese pottery and British folk art and a very nice cafe ( the pork schnitzel with apple sauce and potato salad was fantastic ) strange how i remember the food more than the art….
