This is a very unique building because the rooms have recently been redesigned by some of South Africa’s most famous artists or designers and the individual rooms trace the history of Johannesburg from 1886-2006.

1938, William B. David, architect This amazing Art-Deco theater continues to show first-run films. There is also an excellent cafe adjacent called the Tower Cafe. Their breakfasts are out of this world. The record store chain, Tower Records, got its start at the nearby drug store, Tower Drugs.
